A month in Thailand – rainy season is taking over
Last night we had a big storm, with rain, thunder, lightning and wind. It even got a little bit cooler than usual.
When I went out of our bungalow in the morning a whole army of mosquitoes attacked me. I swear, they were by the millions, big war, many dead.
I’ve seen a pretty big centipede but it didn’t want to pose for me, so no pictures to prove it.
We spent the day swimming in the warm calm waters. The tide was higher than usual so the water was deeper.
I watched the sunset, as usual and then went for a bite to eat followed by facial spa which was nice. I ate king prawns in chilli sauce which was really hot, and I mean hot hot.
I took a short walk into town, shopped around a bit and petted this huge persian cat in a leash in front of a store.
It’s been two weeks since we left home and we are feeling relaxed and careless.
The next day started, surprise, surprise, with some rain, but not a storm, a soft, mellow, summer rain.
I’ve been reading a lot from some sci fi novels I brought with me so that’s what I did today. Read and listed to the sound of the rain.
